Your Initial Appointment
When you arrive, we’ll go over your new patient paperwork and discuss the reasons for your visit. Then, you’ll be escorted to a comfortable treatment room for a comprehensive oral exam. Dr. Shapiro will:
- Check for signs of gum disease
- Assess how well your upper and lower teeth fit together
We’ll take a complete set of digital X-rays and use a tiny intraoral camera to take pictures inside your mouth. Dr. Shapiro will discuss your current needs, as well as your long-term dental goals, and suggest treatments to help you achieve a smile that looks and feels terrific.
Payment Methods
We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. Our Charlotte dental office has teamed with CareCredit and Springstone to offer low- and no-interest payment plans for our patients who want to finance their dental work. See the CareCredit and Springstone websites for more information. Applications can be completed online.
Insurance Information
We accept most traditional insurance plans, and Dr. Shapiro is a provider for Metlife, United Healthcare, Delta Premier and Cigna. We electronically file all claims. However, your portion of the fees for your dental work is due at the time of service.
